- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I taught here for 8 years in 1975- and I was pleased to see the attractive addition as well as the nice safe play ground and new name (Fair Garden Early Education and Family Learning Center) ! When I taught my room looked out to the parking lot off Catalpa Ave. and this is where the students 1st grade - 5th played kick ball and attempted to swing on the swing set that had swings that had been thrown over the top bar making swinging very difficult. It pleased me to see such a nice change in the school where I enjoyed teaching reading to 80 children a day. I feel that my students were like my first children before I had 2 children of my own and moved to Memphis, TN.
